In the half-hour videos below, we see Sparse just before he passed away at age 91. Hoagy Carmichael was wise to film & interview him in those days, to capture his character on film. Sparse was a bridge from the anglers of the old days to anglers of today & as such he has a lot of interesting stories to tell.
