All that said, this wouldn't be the first "reading water" book that I'd recommend, but it should be on the reading list for every angler eventually. This would have been an astounding book back in the 1930's in a time before home videos, interactive videos, the internet, or even color photography. Indeed, Connett was way ahead of his time. As far as I know, this book was only ever published twice - both times in limited editions.
At the very least this book is a trip through a day spent on the beautiful Broadhead's Creek in Pennsylvania. Even in black & white this is still a gorgeous stream & time reading this book will be well spent for any fly fisher.
